Anupam Kher Joins Prabhas’ Period Film ‘Fauji’ Directed by Hanu

Bollywood veteran Anupam Kher has confirmed his participation in the upcoming period action drama featuring Prabhas under the direction of Hanu Raghavapudi. The actor took to social media to share the announcement, revealing that this marks the 544th film in his career. Alongside his post, he shared pictures featuring Prabhas and Hanu Raghavapudi, which have since gained traction across various platforms.

The film’s production is in full swing in Hyderabad, with extensive sets constructed to recreate the 1940s. Sources indicate that crucial sequences featuring Prabhas, Anupam Kher, and other principal actors are currently being shot. The film is expected to portray a historical backdrop, with reports suggesting that it will highlight events surrounding the Hyderabad princely state's integration into India.

Director Hanu Raghavapudi is reportedly crafting the film as a period love story intertwined with action. Speculation is rife that the title 'Fauji' has been chosen, emphasizing a soldier’s role. Industry buzz suggests that Prabhas will be seen as a paramilitary soldier, a character that aligns with the film’s historical and action-packed narrative.

Adding to the film’s ensemble, social media personality Imanvi has been cast as the female lead, marking her entry into Telugu cinema.
